If you're new to Medicare and wish to sign up for a Medicare Advantage plan, you have the flexibility to do so at any point during your Medicare Initial Enrollment Period. This period spans three months before your 65th birthday, includes your birthday month, and extends for three months after your 65th birthday. Failing to enroll during this initial period provides another opportunity during the Medicare Fall Open Enrollment Period, which runs from October 15 to December 7 annually.

What Is Medicare Part A?
